Summary

What do you do when your fake engagement starts to feel too real…

Aspiring clothes designer Victoria Scott spends her days working in a bar in Chelsea, and her evenings designing vintage clothes, dreaming of one day opening her own boutique。 But these aspirations are under threat from the new department store opening at the end of her road。 She needs a Christmas miracle, but one is not forthcoming。

Oliver Russell’s Christmas is not looking very festive right now。 His family’s new London department store opening is behind schedule, and on top of that his interfering, if well meaning, mother is pressing him to introduce his girlfriend to her。 A girlfriend who does not exist。 He needs a diversion。 Something to keep his mother from interfering while he focuses on the business。

When Oliver meets Victoria, he offers a proposition: pretend to be his girlfriend at the opening of his store and he will provide an opportunity for Victoria to showcase her designs。 But what starts as a business arrangement soon becomes something more tempting, as the fake relationship starts to feel very real。 But when secrets in Victoria’s past are exposed will Oliver walk away, or will they both follow their hearts and find what neither knew they were looking for…

This was a really magical, fast paced read。

Okay let me tell you this book is amazing and is one of the best romances I have ever read! I had quite a hard time getting through the first 100 pages, but after that I was such a big part of the story that I just had to continue and see what would happen to Victoria and Oliver。I loved the descriptions of London and just made me miss being in the city so much!

I really enjoyed this one。 Loved it。 I know cliched romances and the fake dating/engagement trope are not for everyone but I do love them。 Especially as a sweet break between some gritty and dark thrillers。This had me smiling the whole way through。 I loved following both Victoria and Oliver and their lives in London。 Victoria working in a bar, designing clothes and teaching less that fortunate kids with her sewing skills。 Oliver, heir to the family billion pound business and too busy for love。I I really enjoyed this one。 Loved it。 I know cliched romances and the fake dating/engagement trope are not for everyone but I do love them。 Especially as a sweet break between some gritty and dark thrillers。This had me smiling the whole way through。 I loved following both Victoria and Oliver and their lives in London。 Victoria working in a bar, designing clothes and teaching less that fortunate kids with her sewing skills。 Oliver, heir to the family billion pound business and too busy for love。I really enjoyed the range of characters too。 Victoria has scars from a car accident with her friends years ago。 One of her friends also has a spinal injury and is wheelchair bound。 Oliver's father is ill with heart failure。 It wasn't the perfect fairy tale story we have come to know。 Despite these the book still remains light and fun。It's a trope that has been done before and no doubt will be done again, but I think was wonderfully executed and brightened up my month。I'm a thriller girl through and through but this book didn't disappoint for a sweet and cute read。I'm all set for Meet Me in Hawaii now。 Oh, if only! 。。。more

Mills & Boon is a guilty pleasure for me, so it goes without saying that this was no different。 A will they won’t romance, with a cad or two to stir the pot。 A lovely read, a little repetitive in places but enjoyed thoroughly。 Can’t wait for the next one

This book is perfect for a light read。 The story flows smoothly。 Both the main characters Oliver and Victoria are very likable。 Victoria’s friendship with her friends is so amazing and it’s one that gives major friendship goals。It’s both cute and enjoyable! I had fun time reading it and will be eagerly waiting for the next one!

I found this rather endearing! Listened to the audible and thought Georgia did a wonderful job narrating it! An easy listen, with characters I really warmed to! I was sad when it was over!

Meet Me In London is a sweet romance with the trope of pretend relationship turned real。 What starts as a matter of convenience, develops into chemistry and hope。 There's very little original about this story, but that doesn't always matter。 When it comes to romance, we want to be invested in two characters and their relationship, and that was true for me of Meet Me In London。 The characters are well written, with the perfect amount of backstoryr。 Their relationship was touching and believable。T Meet Me In London is a sweet romance with the trope of pretend relationship turned real。 What starts as a matter of convenience, develops into chemistry and hope。 There's very little original about this story, but that doesn't always matter。 When it comes to romance, we want to be invested in two characters and their relationship, and that was true for me of Meet Me In London。 The characters are well written, with the perfect amount of backstoryr。 Their relationship was touching and believable。There is a whole host of secondary characters - a few too many for my liking, but they're well written and I'd definitely be interested in the stories of Victoria's friends。 An easy to read, light romance that left me with a smile on my face, just the ticket for a down-day when I want a few hours of happy escapism。 。。。more

Listened to the audible version and although Toff is a sweet girl, the book was (a) not my thing (chose it as a happy Christmas read!) and (b) not very well read as Toff didn't seem to be able to read in anything other than her own tone and so it was difficult to discern the various characters。 I also didn't realise until the end credits that this is a modern day Mills & Boon 。。。 so not my thing! A lovely romantic read with a slight Christmas reference。 The predictability of the story didn’t effect my enjoyment at all。 The characters were lovable and made me want to continue reading。

Sophie Hymas

Easy, entertaining read。 You really want things to end well for the main characters。

Lorraine Joad

This was a typical Mills & Boon love story and I loved every page。 A pretend girlfriend/boyfriend relationship to appease parents turns out to be a true budding romance with secrets along the way and trials and tribulations of a high powered family thrown into the mix as well。 I’m very much looking forward to the next in the series。

Amairo

I simply loved it。 It was very interesting story and I enjoyed it, no matter how messed up it was。 It was not only a romantic story, but also one that was eye-opener about themes I never had in mind。 I liked that it was not heavy sexual and mostly focusing on the romantic side。 Absolutely recommended。

This was bad, then it was okay, and then the end 50 pages was so bad I shouted at the book, oops! It's not like I wasn't expecting this to be "trashy" when I bought it, I definitely was, was looking for some light entertainment, but this was so over the top with the clichés and it felt like a pantomime at times ("what could he mean!?" she thought, furrowing her forehead - right after someone basically proposes *FOR EXAMPLE - this exact scenario didn't happen 。。。 i think。。。 *)。 I liked the idea a This was bad, then it was okay, and then the end 50 pages was so bad I shouted at the book, oops! Meet me in London…Was VERY GOOD。 I enjoyed the pace, the adventure and the honest backstory。 I won’t say too much because I think you should read it。The characters were likeable, realistic!
